This blog is dedicated to Tulip the Cat.
Tulip is blind. She was born with a condition called anophthalmia, meaning she had no viable eyeballs. Her eyes had to be removed, and her eyelids were sewn shut. This gives her her cute, sleepy appearance.
We adopted her through a shelter-animal advocacy group called FOCAS. This blog is dedicated to Tulip's adventures in her new home, and our adventures as owners of a blind cat.
Please feel free to leave comments and questions about our posts. We are by no means experts but will try to answer whatever we can. Thank you for taking interest in Tulip and her blog.

She's so cute with that bear, it's like she's protecting it.
I'm also starting to get used to the fact that she has no eyes. At first I found it very weird to look at, now I'm not noticing it as much.
I'm pretty sure she was beating the bear up before I found her this way, but that's a whole other story. :)
I know what you mean about her appearance. I found myself wanting her to open her eyes all the time when we first got her. Now it's no big deal.
